I am a first year PhD student under the supervision of Nicolas Holzschuch at INRIA Grenoble-Rhône-Alpes and of Mike Krus at KDAB France. My PhD subject is about automated simplification of 3D scenes for real-time rendering with known target constraints.

Research themes

When developing applications integrating real-time 3D scenes, the 3D scenes and the application are generally implemented in collaboration between two different fields: artists design the meshes, materials and animations; and developers integrate the scenes into the application and ensure it runs as expected on the target platform and hardware.

Often, the scenes initially created by the artists are too complex to be rendered as-is on the target, so they need to be simplified. This is especially true when targeting embedded systems. We propose researching ways to automate this simplification process as much as possible, taking the target environment and constraints into account.

Curriculum Vitae

After graduating from Grenoble INP - Ensimag, I joined KDAB. First starting as a Qt/C++ developper, I worked on both internal R&D and client projects, before defining and beginning a Cifre PhD thesis in collaboration with Maverick.
